We have experience of staying at National Hotel Jerusalem, Hashimi Hotel, Palm, Legacy Hotel etc. However, we prefer to take our groups to stay at the world famous National Hotel near Herod's Gate. The services provided by the hotel (restaurant, café, dry cleaning, 24 hour reception, super friendly staff, accessible rooms if needed etc) have persuaded us to use National Hotel Jerusalem as our hotel of choice. Masjid Al Aqsa is just a short scenic 10-15 minute walk away.
